· We dig our holes 42 inches (3 and a half feet) deep or more and cement around the posts, even when encountering roots, clay and other obstacles. Many other companies dig only 24 inches or less, do not always use cement, and will set your fence on top of the roots or difficult earth.
· We dig out the bottoms of each hole in a bell shape to prevent heaving over time. The earth moves annually and your fence will want to move with it. This technique protects your fence against the forces of nature.
